Recruiting for a Manager for Waverton Village Hall

Can you help us recruit a ‘STAR’? Residents who find the successful applicant will be entitled to a 50% discount off a booking at the hall in 2022 (e.g. for a child’s party)



For an enthusiastic Person

• To organise and manage the daily/weekly bookings and operation of the Hall with 2 part time cleaners and volunteers from the community

• To work as a member of a small new Group with responsibility for the building, its facilities, and finances on behalf of the Parish Council who hold the Hall as an asset for the local community


• To ensure the smooth running of the Hall and satisfaction of its users

• To maintain a safe, secure, clean, and welcoming environment.

• To be an ambassador for the hall by providing a friendly and professional service to existing and potential hirers.

• Work with the operational team, volunteers and with the Parish Council to ensure the Hall has a vibrant future.

The role will be a minimum of 15 hours per week over a work pattern to support the operation of the Hall at £15 an hour.


• A good organiser, reliable and efficient in what they do.

• Personable, polite, flexible in attitude and a good communicator face to face and confident user of mobile devices, Apps, Word and basic Excel.

• Able to solve the unexpected, work independently and as part of a team

• Likes guidelines but can show initiative and would want to own the role.
